Minutes/Report: DATE: February 20, 2009 - Feb LOCATION: ATTENDEES: GUEST(S): MINUTES STATUS: 2/20/09 Attendees: Gisella, Pam, Joan, Shelly, Linda, Mary Jo, Jen, Chad, Jennifer, Beth, Courtney, Anna, Amy G. Vendor information still isn’t available online. Tracey and Jobyna are working on the forms. Beth will contact Jobyna and check on the progress. Agenda is on the website. Pam will work with Susan Ladd re: Newcomer recognition at lunch on Thurs. Sessions: Courtney is still working on the Veterans Benefits. The work study session isn’t quite coming together as planned. Should it be replaced with the credit session by Dean Obenauer. Committee decided credit information was a more timely issue. Work study can be slated for a future conference. FAFSA questions regarding emancipation- Julie Molenburg doesn’t feel it’s enough information to fill full session. The committee decided it might be better suited if it were included in the FAFSA changes session – Anna will check with Steve to see if he is open to that. Entertainment – Amy and Linda have further defined it with a Wii tournament and prizes. They hope to hold it in the same room as dinner so as not to lose people. Joan will check on getting screens and set-up in place. There won’t be a bar in the room due to the cost, but people can easily walk to the bar for drinks, since it is close to the room. Autism Society – the speaker will speak at Thursday’s dinner. Amy will work with Matt Brown and further define the details. Software meetings – Jen has all of the speakers in place. Pam would like a strong session on Friday morning. Discussed moving one of Dave’s sessions to Friday – ACG/SMART will be slated. Registration – discussion as to whether or not we should open registration on Wed. evening. Exec. Council will be off site, so this won’t work well. It will have to be coordinated for Thursday only.
